Biennial Reports

In 2023, CEGIST published its first biennial report, detailing our research activities and achievements from 2021 to 2022. Through these reports, CEGIST reaffirms its commitment to transparency and accountability in our research activities, ensuring our stakeholders and the broader public have access to a clear record of our work and impact. This initiative also represents our dedication to fostering engagement with the community, making our research accessible and meaningful to society at large.

Biennial Report 2021–2022

In 2021–2022, CEGIST made significant strides in research and public engagement, producing over 160 publications and actively participating in 25 projects, both nationally and internationally. We developed cutting-edge decision-making tools, sustainable operations models, and circular economy solutions with impactful applications across health, logistics, and environmental management. Our researchers also made strides in exploring the interplay of human capital and entrepreneurship within evolving demographics. Our outreach initiatives also expanded, highlighted by the creation of a recycling machine prototype, contributions to Portugal’s Circular Economy Action Plan, and participation in public science festivals and educational events.
