Course on Regulation of Health Technologies

The Course on Regulation of Health Technologies is coordinated by CEGIST members Mónica Oliveira and Ana Vieira, with Beatriz Lima, Head of the Department of Pharmacological Sciences. It is a short massive open online course (MOOC) that gives an overview of Regulation in Health Technologies. Being a partnership between the engineering and pharmacy schools of the University of Lisbon and benefiting from the participation of experts working in the industry, regulatory agencies and academy, this MOOC introduces participants to key concepts and methods, hot topics, and current challenges on the regulation of diverse and emerging health technologies and products. This MOOC is funded by EIT Health and enables participants to have an introductory exploration of this multidisciplinary area. 

Target audience
Anyone interested in the topic, no background knowledge required. 

About the Course
Access to the course is free and fully operates online;
During the course, the contents are always open and each participant follows the course at their own pace;
The certificate will be available on the platform for those who have successfully completed the course, achieving at least 50% of the evaluation scores;
The course is only available in English. 

Course Enrolment
Register (Create an account) on the MOOC Partners Técnico. If you are an IST student, create an account with the Técnico ID;
Pre-register using the following Google Forms. The course will be open to the first 50 registrants;
If the enrolment is successful, the enrolee will receive an email confirmation.

Registrations: until December 11th 2023
Course start date: December 15th 2023
Course end date: March 15th 2024
