About
The Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Innovation (SEI) branch of CEG-IST conducts applied research in topics related with corporate strategy, entrepreneurship and innovation, and their relationship with industry dynamics, labour markets, and economic development.
Our research programs use quantitative empirical methods - mostly in applied econometrics - to examine the impacts of technological change, innovation and human capital on issues such as entrepreneurial success, internationalisation and globalisation, productivity and wages, industry evolution, and regional development. We aim to offer new insights into the roles played by technology, knowledge and human resources in the formation of innovative firms and competitive regions, contributing to the formulation and assessment of policies in industry, science, and higher education.
