Murat Karaöz, PhD, is a Full Professor in the Department of Econometrics at Süleyman Demirel University, Türkiye. He also serves as a Researcher at CEG-IST, Instituto Superior Técnico. Dr Karaöz holds a PhD in Business Administration, specialised in quantitative methods, from Süleyman Demirel University and a master’s in Economics from Cleveland State University, Ohio. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Ankara University. His current research focuses on the dynamics of entrepreneurship, employment and wages within the era of digitalisation and artificial intelligence. His research and teaching also focus on applied and theoretical econometric models. Before his current roles, he held various academic and administrative positions at Akdeniz University. He has numerous publications in international academic outlets, including Small Business Economics and Technological Forecasting and Social Change.
